Catch a Body
rollingsreliable:
Salinger, I’m sorry, but “Don’t ever tell anybody anything” is a string of words I would like to wrap up in canvas and sink to the bottom of the Hudson, or extract by laser from the ribcage of all of us who ever believed it, who felt afraid to miss someone, to be the last one standing. “Tell everyone everything” is not exactly right, but I do believe that if your mother looks...

For a few weeks when I was like eight I was absolutely obsessed with James and the Giant Peach, and the Centipede was my favorite so I convinced my grandma to help me go centipede-hunting in her garden.
We didn’t find any, which at the time was disappointing but in retrospect was probably good because real-life centipedes and millipedes are FREAKING TERRIFYING.

I need to find a polite way to say “I swear I really like you, and it’s nothing personal, but right now I am incredibly annoyed by every single thing you do or say so it’s probably best that we not interact for the next twenty-four hours at minimum.”

tumblr does for social justice what peta does for animal rights
this is seriously the best analogy ever
Okay, can I say something from experience here?
When I first joined tumblr I literally knew NOTHING about racism, or cissexism, or transmisgyonny even. I’m a white kid who grew up in a mostly all white town and believed that while racism...

Transgender Rights in the Era of Same-Sex... →
The United States moves inexorably toward granting equality to the L.G.B., but in the process, while still pronouncing that satisfying final consonant, we often, in practice, drop the T. No federal law offers protection to transgender people from discrimination in the workplace; the population sees double the usual rate of unemployment, and ninety per cent of transgender individuals report...

because he’s not exceptionally powerful or anything you know? like he’s a super average student, smart enough to get by, but he doesn’t really blow anything out of the water (besides defense against the dark arts but really he’s been doing that shit since he was 11 so)

Surely this has occurred to everyone else already but
instead of making Harry Potter into a bunch of movies…why didn’t we just adapt it into a TV series?
There would be seven seasons, starting with one of those half-seasons for Season 1 and then going to a full season once it catches on.
There would be the annual Halloween episode and the Christmas specials and that memorable Yule...

Watching Hunger Games with my little sister. We are now wearing matching Katniss braids. We are adorable.
(We’re also holding hands during the sad parts and earlier were making references to her as my “little duck.”)
